Dr. Dena Long Krueger

For more than 30 years, Dr. Krueger has cared for pets and families with compassion, knowledge, and heart. During her career, she worked in various animal hospitals, but too often, she saw one-size-fits-all or rushed approaches to care. She knew pets and their families deserved something better. 

Dr. Krueger discovered the power of integrative medicine, which blends modern, traditional treatments with holistic options like supplements, herbs, nutrition, and lifestyle support. She saw firsthand how this whole-pet approach could help pets heal, thrive, and live longer, healthier lives.

Guided by faith, compassion, and the belief that “food is medicine”, Dr. Krueger established Hosanna Animal Hospital. Hosanna’s name reflects her mission. Hosanna, meaning “help us” and “praise”, speaks to both the trust families place in their veterinarian during times of need and the joy we share in the healing and love pets bring.   

Hosanna Animal Hospital is more than just a veterinary practice. It’s the realization of Dr. Krueger’s vision of a trusted place of healing where every pet’s story matters, families feel supported, and care is guided by faith, compassion, and choice.
